Tip For The Day.

When accessing your email via a desktop application, such as Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird all your read and sent emails are recorded. However when you are away from your desk and need to access your email via our webmail system, it can be annoying that emails that you have read on outlook are not marked as read on the server, it addition to this the webmail does not record emails you sent from your desktop mail program.

This can be a common problem when using POP email. We are proud to introduce a easy solution for this. All iMail customers and web hosting customers, when using a desktop email program, instead of using the standard POP connection, set your program to connect to your email server via IMAP. Using this method, all your emails and sent items will be synced with your desktop mail and webmail program - no longer have the issue of remembering if you have actually read a certian email before.

In addition to this, when using our IMAP system users can also benefit from Push Email. With the standard POP connection, emails sent to you are only normally downloaded every 5 minutes (depending on the setting with your desktop email program). Via using IMAP this enables you to benefit from our Push Email, as soon as a email is sent to you, it will automatically be pushed to your email program right away.

Making your email, even easier to use! If you would like further advice setting this up, please contact support.
